Senior Commercial Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Promote the Valpak Data Insight Platform, designed for analyzing packaging, EPR costs, and recyclability across global markets.

• Foster new business growth by identifying and reaching out to potential clients.

• Conduct market analysis to pinpoint key industries and high-value customers.

• Generate qualified leads through online research, cold outreach, email marketing, and networking events.

• Consult with prospective clients to assess EPR requirements and offer customized Data Insights solutions.

• Articulate product USPs, features, benefits, and value propositions tailored to various customer scenarios.

• Develop and present presentations that illustrate how Data Insights solutions meet client needs.

• Maintain and organize the sales pipeline using CRM software.

• Collaborate with clients on pricing and contractual agreements, negotiating to finalize deals.

• Stay updated on EPA regulations, industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands regarding material handling solutions.

• Work in partnership with teams across Reconomy companies.

• Report directly to the Vice President of Commercial Development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in business development, sales management, or sales roles.

• Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, marketing, engineering, or law.

• Excellent consultation and negotiation abilities.

• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions, particularly in liability and intellectual property.

• In-depth understanding of EPR packaging responsibilities across various US jurisdictions.

• Capability to collaborate with teams across different Reconomy companies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.

• Capacity to mentor junior team members.
