
Senior Commercial Account Executive – CIS, Russian Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• You will report to an Area Sales Manager and take ownership of a diverse portfolio of businesses, ranging from new prospects to expanding existing accounts within the CIS region.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle for prospects, starting from discovery and aligning solutions to negotiation and closing deals.
• Assist prospects by effectively communicating GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with their business outcomes.
• Evaluate wins and losses, engage in root cause analyses, and disseminate lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Keep accurate records of buying criteria, purchasing processes, next steps, and responsible parties to maintain a trustworthy, evidence-based pipeline.
• Help enhance our sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance for accounts throughout pre- and post-sales, closely collaborating with technical teams and customer success.
• Act as the voice of the customer by providing product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably within a mid-market or enterprise environment, managing a diverse portfolio of business.
• Capability to guide customers throughout the entire buying journey, which includes defining buying criteria, mapping purchasing processes, and ensuring clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Experience in documenting and managing accurate pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
• Proficient in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses, and sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Expertise in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to successfully close opportunities.
• Interest in GitLab, open source software, and preferably some familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
• Alignment with GitLab's values, a willingness to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, and readiness to travel according to company policy.
• Proficiency in both Russian and English.
