This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a reliable technical consultant for large-scale digital platforms.
• Provide support for a high-traffic, public-facing digital platform that serves millions of users and handles substantial content and web traffic.
• Work remotely while reporting to the Delivery Operations Manager.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and delivery teams effectively.
• Convert business requirements into secure and scalable technology solutions.
• Assist in infrastructure operations, platform modernization, and ongoing service enhancements.
• Implement, manage, troubleshoot, and sustain AWS-hosted IT systems and cloud services.
• Oversee Drupal CMS infrastructure on a Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP) stack.
• Manage infrastructure, services, and operational procedures across servers, storage, network devices, client systems, and mobile devices as necessary.
• Deliver advanced technical support and help desk services, including diagnosis, resolution, escalation, and root-cause analysis.
• Analyze and address complex issues related to server hosts, applications, search services, and software integrations.
• Monitor and enhance system performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Perform capacity analysis and strategic system planning.
• Address network component issues and uphold the integrity, reliability, and security of production systems.
• Provide technical insights, status updates, and recommendations to client management and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in system and solution architecture design, infrastructure planning, and assessment of hardware and platform components.
• Install, configure, patch, secure, and maintain Linux and other relevant operating systems.
• Implement improvements that enhance reliability and performance.
• Utilize knowledge of system-administration interdependencies within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Over 10 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.
• Proficiency in administering Linux-based production environments, including installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintenance.
• Practical experience in supporting infrastructure and cloud services hosted on AWS.
• Familiarity with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Solr Search and Elasticsearch.
• Experience in supporting enterprise web applications, including Drupal CMS and LAMP-stack technologies.
• Ability to independently identify and solve complex infrastructure, application, and integration challenges.
• Capability to communicate technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Professional demeanor in a client-facing consulting role.
• Preference for experience with Akamai CDN services and Drupal hosting platforms such as Acquia.
• Preference for experience in supporting government, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
