Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the infrastructure and control plane supporting Restate Cloud.

• Facilitate BYOC and self-hosted deployment options.

• Ensure reliability, observability, and operational excellence throughout the entire fleet.

• Develop automation and tools to enable efficient platform scaling.

• Oversee production operations and engage in the cloud on-call rotation.

• Work across networking, storage, Kubernetes, cloud APIs, observability, and infrastructure automation from design to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing large-scale SaaS or platform infrastructure in a production environment.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based systems.

• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation techniques.

• Strong software engineering capabilities in Rust, Go, or C++.

• Comfortable taking ownership of systems from design through to operations.

• Ability to excel in ambiguous situations and work with a high degree of autonomy.

• Experience in Kubernetes operator development.

• Familiarity with Cluster API, Crossplane, or Terraform.

• Background in managing multi-tenant control planes.

• Experience overseeing infrastructure in enterprise or compliance-sensitive settings.

• Knowledge of durable execution systems or workflow runtimes.
