Senior Cloud Infrastructure / DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Focus on planned infrastructure projects, while also engaging in troubleshooting and collaborating with engineering teams.

• Attend daily stand-ups to align on priorities, obstacles, and ongoing tasks.

• Lead initiatives for infrastructure standardization.

• Create reusable AWS CDK constructs and Terraform modules.

• Enhance shared CI/CD workflows.

• Assist with cloud migrations, security upgrades, and observability projects.

• Manage DNS and the Cloudflare platform.

• Address developer support requests related to DNS resolution, networking, proxies, IAM permissions, and other infrastructure challenges.

• Aid development teams in designing AWS architectures and selecting suitable services.

• Manage unexpected requests while ensuring planned work progresses smoothly.

• Collaborate with Security and engineering teams to sustain a reliable, secure, and developer-friendly infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services, such as IAM, networking, compute, and databases.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform and AWS CDK.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

• Experience in troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, networking, and production-related issues.

• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and logging practices.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently while collaborating across various engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Vercel or comparable application deployment platforms.

• Understanding of Kubernetes and EKS.

• Experience in building reusable infrastructure modules or self-service tools for developers.

• Background in cloud migrations and modernizing legacy infrastructure.

• Awareness of AWS cost optimization strategies.

• Proven experience in Agile environments.
