Senior Cloud Engineer – Product Metrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in defining the roadmap for the Product Metrics team.

• Collaborate with the team to deliver, enhance, and refine new features.

• Design, construct, operate, and maintain essential petabyte-scale systems.

• Take responsibility for the performance, reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness of Product Metrics systems.

• Guide and support team members through mentorship.

• Engage in design discussions and work together with engineering teams.

• Participate in the on-call rotation.

• Assume ownership of the services being managed.

• Aid in the collection, storage, and serving of customer metrics from ClickHouse instances.

• Assist in data processing for internal billing and accounting systems as well as customer-facing dashboards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant software development experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.

• More than 2 years of experience in software application development using Golang.

• Familiarity with at least one major Cloud Service Provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Proficient in storing, transporting, and retrieving large volumes of data efficiently using technologies like ClickHouse.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Temporal, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

• Strong debugging skills in production environments.

• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting.

• Experience with ClickHouse, Kubernetes operators or controllers, or Kafka streaming technology is a plus.
