Senior Cloud Engineer – Product Metrics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist in defining the roadmap for the Product Metrics team

• Collaborate with the team to deliver, iterate, and enhance new features

• Design, construct, manage, and sustain essential petabyte-scale systems

• Take responsibility for system performance, reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness

• Guide and support team members

• Engage in design discussions and work together with engineering teams

• Be part of the on-call rotation and manage operated services

• Aid in the collection, storage, and serving of customer metrics from ClickHouse instances

• Assist with data processing for internal billing, accounting systems, and customer-facing dashboards

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent software development experience in building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems

• At least 2 years of experience in software application development using Golang

• Familiarity with at least one major Cloud Service Provider, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Proven experience in efficiently storing, transporting, and retrieving large volumes of data using technologies like ClickHouse

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Temporal, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform

• Strong sense of initiative, ownership, accountability, and a problem-solving approach

• Excellent production debugging capabilities

• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote setting
