Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of our Azure Infrastructure.

• You will be the architect of WWF's Azure environment, setting up subscriptions, provisioning resources, and constructing/deploying VMs (Windows, SQL, Red Hat, firewalls) from scratch in both production and staging environments.

• Ensure Security & Identity Management.

• Configure Microsoft Entra tenants, oversee SSO via Azure Enterprise Apps, and maintain the integrity and security of our RBAC and user groups.

• You will proactively patch systems and utilize PowerShell + Graph API to automate routine tasks, ensuring that critical operations run seamlessly.

• Serve as Our Safety Net.

• Develop backup strategies and disaster recovery playbooks that function effectively in critical situations.

• You will be the reason we rest easy, confident that our systems can recover from any setback.

• Maintain Connectivity.

• Troubleshoot networking across VNETs, sites, and tenants.

• You are fluent in firewalls, load balancers, and DNS (Azure + Cloudflare), resolving issues before they escalate.

• Be the Go-To Authority.

• When faced with complex Azure, Entra ID, or M365 challenges, you are the expert the team consults.

• You will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring all stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, are informed throughout the process.

• Be Available When It Matters.

• Occasionally, be prepared for after-hours or weekend work to address critical outages or conduct planned maintenance, as uptime is essential, along with the team that ensures it.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in IT or a related discipline AND a minimum of 8 years of professional experience (including at least 6 years in IT).

• MUST HAVE verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT systems.

• Extensive hands-on experience with highly available and resilient Azure production systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and both Windows and Linux servers.

• Proficient in managing Windows domains and Active Directory.

• Expertise in utilizing PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration.

• Familiarity with provisioning and managing access for technologies such as Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry.

• Experience with integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents into enterprise Azure/M365 environments, including the configuration and governance of data access controls.

• Significant experience in building, deploying, and managing virtual machines in Azure from inception.

• A track record of applying structured thinking to diagnose complex cloud or hybrid system issues and develop scalable, sustainable solutions.

• Well-developed methodologies for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.

• Broad enterprise-scale expertise in infrastructure, Azure cloud architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and emerging AI-driven automation technologies—allowing for the evaluation and recommendation of modernization opportunities, security enhancements, and strategic technology replacements.

• Skills in configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET configuration.
