Cloud Architect, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement optimal practices concerning cloud architecture, security, governance, scalability, and reliability.

• Create and maintain Terraform configurations to manage GCP infrastructure as code.

• Design and oversee infrastructure, network, topology, and service diagrams for Development, QA, and Production environments.

• Enhance and support CI/CD lifecycle processes and deployment workflows.

• Work collaboratively with technical teams to direct cloud implementation strategies and initiatives for operational excellence.

• Assume responsibility for designated cloud environments, ensuring their stability, security, and performance.

• Offer technical guidance and support to engineering teams on cloud infrastructure and DevOps methodologies.

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts aimed at automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud computing, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• In-depth knowledge of GCP cloud infrastructure and best practices in cloud architecture.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Google Container Registry (GCR).

• Proven experience in deploying and managing cloud-based applications.

• Strong comprehension of DevOps culture and operational best practices.

• Experience in guiding and collaborating with Cloud Engineering teams.

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform.

• Knowledge of containers and containerization tools like Docker.

• Experience in supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Cloud Build, SonarQube, and CircleCI.

• Skills in Linux administration and networking troubleshooting.

• Understanding of cloud networking and perimeter security best practices.

• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) and/or Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) is a plus.

• Proficient in advanced English.
