Cloud Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop a production data platform utilizing Advana (Databricks + S3 medallion architecture) to accommodate both current and future research initiatives.

• Create a system that the team can independently manage and enhance following the handover.

• Implement features iteratively and in real-time, allowing the lab to utilize each feature or pipeline as it becomes available.

• Collaborate directly with existing data and stakeholders to design and refine a medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold).

• Construct pipelines (PySpark / Databricks-native tools) that activate upon the arrival of new files.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6 – 10 years of relevant experience is required.

• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Requires in-depth knowledge of advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts, along with the ability to apply them effectively.

• Familiarity with the Advana ecosystem and Jupiter-managed data ingestion frameworks is essential.

• Previous experience in engineering data pipelines is necessary.
