Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee enterprise architecture, platform integration, product engineering, and application modernization initiatives within a complex federal technology landscape.

• Develop and uphold technical architecture standards, reference models, integration methodologies, and governance frameworks for SaaS, cloud, platform, and application functionalities.

• Direct solution design across various cloud service providers, SaaS platforms, enterprise productivity tools, low-code platforms, APIs, workflow automation, data integrations, and secure access methodologies.

• Facilitate architectural design reviews and technical decision-making forums to ensure proposed solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with modernization goals.

• Define and oversee integration methodologies utilizing APIs, SDKs, webhooks, event streams, serverless functions, workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automation technologies.

• Assist in the implementation of infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, configuration-as-code, DNS-as-code, and other repeatable automation practices.

• Support product development, delivery, and maintenance teams throughout requirements definition, solution design, backlog refinement, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to federal contract stipulations.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust clearance.

• Over 15 years of experience in leading enterprise architecture, systems integration, platform engineering, application modernization, or product engineering within intricate enterprise settings.

• One active certification in cloud, enterprise architecture, security, or IT service management, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, Security+, ITIL Foundation, or an equivalent certification.
