Cloud Architect – Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide comprehensive leadership, direction, and accountability for cloud architecture, delivery, and operational performance.

• Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outputs in line with contractual obligations and performance standards.

• Design and supervise the implementation of cloud solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms, adhering to enterprise architecture standards.

• Lead the development of cloud strategies, conduct cloud suitability assessments, and manage application rationalization initiatives.

• Architect and direct solutions for application modernization, migration, and cloud-native development.

• Establish and sustain DevSecOps pipelines, configuration management practices, and CI/CD strategies.

• Provide technical oversight throughout all stages of the SDLC.

• Lead activities related to systems analysis, systems engineering, database design, and application development.

• Ensure all solutions meet federal cybersecurity requirements, including HHS security policies, privacy regulations, and Section 508 standards.

• Integrate information assurance, risk management, and cybersecurity controls into all cloud and system architectures.

• Support application and system security, focusing on secure design, testing, and accreditation preparedness.

• Provide insights on emerging technologies, tools, and market trends to guide modernization efforts.

• Oversee the management and maintenance of cloud environments, including monitoring, optimization, and continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or IT modernization within federal or enterprise settings.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale cloud implementation and transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of federal IT frameworks, including EPLC, CPIC, and SDLC methodologies.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GovCloud environments are preferred).

• Expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in application migration, cloud modernization, and enterprise architecture.
