Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect, oversee, and enhance AWS GovCloud environments in alignment with business and mission goals.

• Design and execute operational planning to boost system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Assist administrators in the deployment and management of IaaS and IaC solutions.

• Ensure the security and compliance of DoD systems.

• Implement NIST SP 800-171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements.

• Architect and execute multi-region disaster recovery strategies.

• Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans.

• Introduce enhancements to current systems and processes.

• Address complex, ambiguous, and undefined challenges.

• Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.

• Provide high-level briefings to senior leaders and influence decision-making.

• Coach, mentor, and guide technical teams.

• Lead extensive, cross-functional initiatives.

• Act as the technical authority for AWS architecture, cloud security, automation, and enterprise-scale cloud operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 10 years in systems/software engineering.

• An active Secret clearance is necessary to commence employment.

• AWS certifications are mandatory.

• Expertise in AWS cloud architecture, automation, security compliance, and large-scale operational planning.

• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements.

• Strong leadership, innovative thinking, and executive-level communication skills.

• Up to 10% local travel may be required.
