Senior Cloud Architect – Data Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design cloud and data architectures that are scalable, secure, resilient, and highly available

• Assess cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities and services

• Act as a subject matter expert in PostgreSQL and Oracle database architectures

• Create database architectures that are highly available, replicated, clustered, and geographically distributed

• Develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and reference implementations to test scalability and security

• Transform successful prototypes into repeatable architectural patterns and production-ready designs

• Balance system design, coaching for engineers, clarifying requirements, and executing plans

• Ensure alignment with product teams and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) partners

• Offer technical guidance and engage in hands-on development

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of pertinent experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field, or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in creating reusable infrastructure using Terraform modules, templates, and deployment patterns

• Capability to develop scripts and automation with Python, Go, Bash, or similar programming languages

• Extensive understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, and MongoDB

• Practical experience with Redis and Valkey

• Knowledge of distributed data systems designed for horizontal scalability and high availability
