Senior Clinical Data Abstractor – VQI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from detailed patient medical records.

• Guarantee the precise submission of data in designated registries or measurement data repositories.

• Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks and team requests effectively.

• Meet stringent deadlines while managing expectations appropriately.

• Identify challenges and propose timely solutions.

• Utilize electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools proficiently.

• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.

• Recognize opportunities for process improvement.

• Remain informed about mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements.

• Undertake additional assigned responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Direct clinical abstraction experience of at least 1 year.

• RN or LPN credential or equivalent substantial clinical experience.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• High standards for precision and attention to detail.

• Technologically proficient with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.

• Clear and consistent communication skills with the ability to adjust style and tone as needed.

• Exceptional self-organization and time management skills.

• Ability to adapt to evolving hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States, now or in the future, without the need for sponsorship.

• Direct abstraction experience with the Vascular Quality Initiative.

• Hands-on abstraction experience in BMC2 VIC.

• Familiarity with various EMR systems and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with M2S software.

• Experience abstracting at least one specified module, including Inferior Vena Cava Filter (required).
