Senior Claims Examiner, Casualty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Proactively overseeing commercial claims for high-severity, intricate general liability and auto accounts.

• Recognizing and evaluating coverage issues, composing coverage position letters, and engaging coverage counsel.

• Formulating and executing strategies concerning coverage matters.

• Keeping in communication with relevant claims carrier(s)’ claims personnel, business line leaders, underwriters, defense attorneys, program managers, and brokers.

• Conducting thorough investigations of claims and reviewing the insured's documentation, pleadings, and other pertinent materials.

• Analyzing litigation documents, including depositions and reports from experts.

• Facilitating negotiations for the resolution of claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant work experience in place of a degree.

• Seven to ten (7-10) years of experience with a primary or excess carrier supporting commercial accounts in Casualty claims; experience in Casualty and Construction is advantageous.

• Valid and active adjuster licenses in all necessary states.

• Practical experience and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
