Workers Compensation Claims Representative – Multiple Jurisdictions & Licensing Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims independently, from initiation to resolution, while ensuring compliance with company protocols, industry standards, and regulatory mandates.

• Ensure adherence to various state workers' compensation laws, which include prompt report filing, compliance with benefit payment schedules, and meeting statutory obligations.

• Negotiate claim settlements within established authority limits to achieve resolution.

• Maintain effective and clear communication with both claimants and clients.

• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Keep precise and thorough records in the claims management system, documenting all actions, decisions, and communications pertinent to each claim.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one year of experience in handling workers' compensation claims.

• Proficiency in Medical Only and Minor Lost-Time claims.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree or relevant certifications, including licensing, is preferred.

• Licensed with a solid understanding of workers' compensation claims processes, policies, and legal regulations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail and precision.

• Capability to manage multiple claims concurrently and effectively prioritize tasks.

• Proficiency in claims management software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes related to claims effectively.
