Senior Claims Auditor – Crop Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Timely and accurately audit and process crop insurance claims to meet quality production standards.

• Engage with underwriters, adjusters, agents, and producers to address claim-related issues effectively.

• Identify challenges, develop solutions, and recommend the appropriate communication for resolutions.

• Utilize Loss Adjustment Manuals, policy provisions, Standard Operating Procedures, and various internal resources.

• Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and internal policies and procedures.

• Act as a subject matter expert in at least one area of claims auditing.

• Offer guidance and expertise to assist colleagues and ensure consistency and quality in audit activities.

• Manage all categories of crop claims, including moderate to advanced claims.

• Investigate and resolve complex claims issues with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred minimum of five years of experience in crop insurance.

• Proven background in crop insurance claims auditing and processing is preferred.

• Familiarity with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) policies, along with company policies, procedures, and relevant software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general technical/computer systems.

• Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and communication skills.

• Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers.

• Capability to process moderate to advanced-level crop insurance claims.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Capacity to sit or stand continuously and perform sedentary tasks.

• Willingness to travel for meetings and training sessions.
