This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Conduct thorough and prompt investigations, evaluations, and analyses on complex casualty and environmental claims, ensuring accuracy.
• Manage claims associated with a comprehensive range of environmental insurance products, including combined casualty, casualty pollution, site pollution, monoline site pollution, contractor’s pollution, and professional coverage, as well as follow-form excess.
• Make determinations regarding coverage.
• Prepare and convey written positions to insured parties and other necessary stakeholders.
• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, document, manage, report, and implement strategies for the swift and cost-effective resolution of assigned claims.
• Establish and oversee reserves.
• Actively manage litigation and counsel, which includes planning and executing litigation strategies, budgeting, reviewing bills, and processing payments.
• Represent the organization in meetings with management and carriers, as well as during mediation and trial proceedings.
• Collaborate effectively within a paperless work environment.
• A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally managing liability and/or clean-up claims or holding a legal position.
• Experience in complex auto liability is advantageous.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong background in coverage analysis and drafting.
• Proficiency in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating technical, legal, and medical data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of fostering and maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including insureds, underwriters, counsel, and carriers.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
