Mortgage Claims Specialist III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims for all properties acquired by agencies or investors.

• Reconcile all advances that are included in the claims.

• Validate essential documents that support the claims.

• Maintain records and management reports related to daily production activities.

• Conduct internal quality control audits for post-claim processes.

• Identify trends that may require additional training led by supervisors.

• Complete quality assurance audits prior to claim submissions.

• Update relevant workstations for processing claim payments.

• Assist with post-claim demands from agencies or clients.

• Follow up on and monitor the payment status of filed claims.

• Conduct research to fulfill daily responsibilities and resolve inquiries regarding missing documents or agency questions.

• Manage task queues and update notes in the internal system.

• Perform other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• 4 to 5 years of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, and/or the legal field.

• Strong understanding of accepted business practices within the mortgage industry and the claims process.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the foreclosure process and relevant guidelines.

• Experience with LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform).

• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.

• Capability to make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently.

• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including in-person and telephone interactions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• A quiet and private workspace at home.

• High-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 megabits per second (MBPS) and a minimum upload speed of 10 MBPS.

• Availability to work and be productive during standard business hours, with flexibility for early, late, or weekend hours as needed.

• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
