Mortgage Claims Specialist II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims for multiple agencies or properties acquired by investors.

• Reconcile all advances that should be included in the claim.

• Assist in performing quality control audits within the department for post-claim activities.

• Validate all required supporting documentation necessary for claims.

• Keep accurate records and reports for management pertaining to daily output.

• Aid in updating relevant workstations for processing claim payments.

• Follow up on and track the payment status of submitted claims.

• Conduct various research tasks to facilitate daily responsibilities.

• Perform research related to post-claim activities, such as missing documents and inquiries from agencies.

• Complete the task queue and make appropriate notes in the internal system.

• Execute all other tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, and/or the legal sector.

• Familiarity with accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and comprehension of the claims process.

• Proficient understanding of the foreclosure process and applicable guidelines (FHD).

• Experience with LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform).

• Capability to manage time and priorities effectively.

• Ability to make sound judgments and resolve issues efficiently.

• Competence to work autonomously and meet deadlines effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including in-person and telephone interactions.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

• Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
