Senior Civil Litigation Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary trial counsel in civil litigation cases, guiding them from inception to verdict.

• Oversee and manage intricate litigation cases autonomously until resolution.

• Formulate and implement trial strategies, including the preparation of witnesses and presentation of evidence.

• Conduct depositions, handle discovery, and supervise pretrial activities.

• Draft and present substantive motions, representing clients in court proceedings.

• Assess liability, damages, and litigation risks to create effective defense strategies.

• Work collaboratively with clients and fellow attorneys to secure positive results.

• Travel across California for trials, court appearances, and related proceedings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold active membership in the California State Bar.

• Proven experience as a first-chair trial attorney with a track record of successful outcomes is required.

• Preference for candidates with 4+ years of civil litigation experience; strong candidates with slightly less experience may be considered.

• Exceptional skills in deposition, motion practice, case management, and courtroom advocacy.

• Experience in insurance defense, personal injury defense, or general liability litigation is preferred.

• Capability to independently manage cases and lead trial processes.

• Willingness to travel throughout California for court appearances and trials.

• Familiarity with complex liability, personal injury defense, and insurance litigation is advantageous.
