This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Adopt a genuine storytelling approach, transitioning from merely presenting data to guiding the audience through a narrative journey based on data.
• Understand your audience and adjust your presentation style and content to maximize impact.
• Transform presentations from simply addressing the “what” to exploring the “so what” and the “now what.”
• Navigate uncertainty and make connections for audiences, utilizing insights to motivate action.
• Partner closely with the Sales team, collaborating to enhance business management capabilities, uncover opportunities, and establish Vita Coco as a premier partner for retailers.
• Influence through teamwork and negotiation, recognizing that relationships are founded on mutual trust.
• Work collaboratively with team members across various departments to promote business success.
• Build and nurture relationships with external Insights partners (vendors, KDP counterparts, etc.) through regular interactions.
• Serve as a trusted category advisor to retailers, offering insights and opportunities they may overlook.
• Oversee the creation of channel and retailer-specific sales materials.
• Take ownership of defining the category's success appearance for Grocery, Natural, and Drug retailers, including recommending optimal shelving designs to foster future category growth.
• Mentor and develop your team of direct reports, prioritizing overall team workload to enhance business impact.
• Drive strategy and thought leadership through innovative thinking.
• Keep a close eye on business performance through continuous evaluation with Sales counterparts.
• Integrate multiple data sources into engaging and succinct fact-based narratives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to assess progress and success in meeting channel objectives.
• Analyze shelving, pricing, assortment, and merchandising factors to identify growth opportunities specific to accounts and channels.
• Undertake special projects as business needs arise.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline is required.
• 7-10 years of experience in category management is required.
• Experience with 84.51 is mandatory.
• Extensive experience with scanning data sources, such as Circana or NIQ, is essential.
• Strong proficiency in panel data sources, including Numerator, Circana, and/or retailer-specific data sources.
• Experience with JDA or other space planning software is necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A natural curiosity and expertise in trends and strategies related to natural and functional beverages.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement, driven by a genuine desire to understand what works and what doesn’t.
