This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Formulate and implement category management strategies across various spending areas.
• Develop category plans and strategic sourcing initiatives to maximize third-party expenditure and generate value.
• Perform spend analysis and gather market intelligence to uncover opportunities, enhance the supplier pool, and reduce business risks.
• Oversee higher-complexity categories to improve the supply base and achieve financial advantages.
• Carry out strategic sourcing processes, from market intelligence and business case development to commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract finalization.
• Provide oversight and direction to other Category Management resources for specific categories and initiatives.
• Partner with category managers, contract administrators, and internal stakeholders to create category plans and strategies.
• Conduct ongoing market evaluations and utilize supply chain insights to comprehend and express market trends and spend analytics.
• Implement sourcing initiatives that align with business objectives.
• Execute economic analysis, cost modeling, and total cost of ownership assessments for strategic sourcing events and bid reviews.
• Generate business cases for sourcing initiatives utilizing market data, commercial objectivity, and pertinent business and technical factors.
• Collaborate with site stakeholders to grasp demand/spend profiles, category and sub-category risks, and business requirements.
• Communicate and synchronize with stakeholders regarding changes in category initiatives, status updates, implementation plans, and category metrics.
• Ensure that site operational and transactional supply chain activities are in line with category strategies.
• Identify potential avenues for cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.
• Utilize supply chain tools, templates, and systems as specified by the Supply Chain Function.
• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• A minimum of four (4) years in Category Management and Strategic Sourcing (Required)
• Experience in Category Management and Strategic Sourcing within Industrial Contractor Services, including Turnaround Maintenance Services and Engineering Construction Services (Preferred)
• At least six (6) years of critical analysis and evaluation of data, financials, and/or market intelligence (Preferred)
• A decade (10) of progressively responsible experience in procurement, supply chain, commercial, contract development, contract management, commercial risk, or relevant fields (Preferred)
• Strong business acumen
• Proficient in category planning
