πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Deliver and interpret results from catastrophe modeling and portfolio analytics across a wide array of risks, territories, and perils.

β€’ Assist in exposure management, accumulation monitoring, and PML optimization, offering insights into significant concentrations and emerging risk areas.

β€’ Collaborate with Exposure Data and Underwriting teams to enhance exposure data quality, validation, and harmonization throughout the Group.

β€’ Work closely with the Ceded Reinsurance team to provide catastrophe analytics that inform the Group's treaty strategy and purchasing decisions.

β€’ Support Risk Capital partners, insurers, and reinsurers by delivering high-quality modeling, portfolio analysis, and external reporting.

β€’ Engage with brokers and other stakeholders effectively.

β€’ Contribute to the automation and ongoing development of the Group's catastrophe modeling capabilities, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and analytical insight.

β€’ Help shape and continuously enhance Accelerant's catastrophe modeling and exposure management capabilities.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ 5 to 10 years of experience in catastrophe modeling and exposure management.

β€’ Extensive hands-on experience with Verisk catastrophe models (AIR Touchstone), including understanding model inputs, outputs, assumptions, and limitations.

β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex model results and distilling them into clear, actionable insights.

β€’ Proficient technical skills, including SQL, R/Python, and GIS.

β€’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

β€’ Keen interest in identifying and implementing practical applications of AI within catastrophe modeling and risk analytics workflows.

β€’ Prior experience in the Lloyd's / London Market or international specialty insurance environment is preferred.

β€’ Familiarity with exposure management, accumulation monitoring, and portfolio optimization is preferred.

β€’ Experience in supporting catastrophe reinsurance analysis or treaty purchasing is preferred.

β€’ Background in working with brokers, reinsurers, capital providers, and model vendors is preferred.

β€’ Experience in improving or automating catastrophe modeling, exposure, or reporting processes is preferred.
