Senior Casualty Claims Representative – Specialty Human Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a substantial inventory of claims to assess compensability and liability.

• Organize and execute claim investigations to verify coverage and ascertain liability, compensability, and damages.

• Identify and negotiate suitable claim settlements and reserves within set authority limits.

• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required.

• Communicate moderately complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insured parties, claimants, and external stakeholders.

• Approve payments according to assigned authority levels and ensure they are processed promptly.

• Maintain precise and comprehensive claim files, which include correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Political Science, Pre-law, Paralegal, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Typically, a minimum of 3-6 years of experience in handling property and casualty claims.

• Completion of or ongoing progress towards a professional designation is preferred, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).

• Strong skills in analytical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving.

• Understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling procedures.

• Familiarity with industry laws and regulations.

• Capability to organize and prioritize caseloads, ensuring claims are resolved timely.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Proficient in building relationships and leading negotiations.

• Ability to manage confidential information with care.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
