This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Spearhead advanced manufacturing strategies, refine processes, and deploy cutting-edge technologies to attain operational excellence and foster innovation.
• Conduct producibility assessments and deliver engineering solutions aimed at enhancing casting and forging manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure that producibility considerations are incorporated early in the product development phase.
• Examine production data to pinpoint opportunities for process and output enhancements, as well as for cost reduction and yield optimization.
• Create and apply advanced manufacturing techniques and tools to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices in producibility engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time with prior notice.
• Extensive background in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in casting manufacturing.
• Demonstrated history of driving operational excellence and implementing process improvements.
• Exceptional leadership and people management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of investment or sand casting and their respective manufacturing processes.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing.
• Over 10 years of manufacturing experience specifically in castings (sand, investment, fine grain, cored, aluminum, magnesium, Inconel, stainless steel, iron, titanium, super alloys, etc.).
• Experience with investment casting, sand casting, single crystal, directionally solidified, Equifax, ceramic core, and permanent mold Inconel.
• Background in Tier 1 or 2 aerospace, industrial gas turbine, or automotive supply chain environments.
• Expertise in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Ability to think strategically and drive change in a dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in advanced manufacturing.
