Senior C++ Qt Developer, GStreamer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain GStreamer pipelines for video and camera processing.

• Integrate multimedia pipelines with C++ and Qt applications.

• Develop and enhance solutions for live camera streaming utilizing V4L2.

• Implement video processing functionalities such as cropping, scaling, format conversion, and stream splitting.

• Collaborate with hardware-accelerated H.264 and HEVC encoding/decoding solutions.

• Integrate video rendering components within Wayland and OpenGL environments.

• Analyze, debug, and optimize multimedia performance and latency.

• Implement and maintain zero-copy / DMA-BUF-based data flows.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues associated with video processing and embedded platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality infotainment solutions.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical enhancements across the multimedia stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with GStreamer (essential, key requirement).

• Proficient in C++ development.

• Hands-on experience in developing Qt applications.

• Experience in Linux environments.

• Solid grasp of video pipelines, codecs, video formats, and streaming architectures.

• Experience with debugging, profiling, and optimizing performance for multimedia applications.

• Knowledge of hardware-accelerated video encoding and decoding.

• Experience integrating multimedia solutions with existing C++ applications and Linux services.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex multimedia and embedded system challenges.

• V4L2 experience (preferred).

• Familiarity with Wayland and OpenGL (preferred).

• Experience with Qt Multimedia and QML (preferred).

• Expertise in Embedded Linux / Yocto (preferred).

• Experience with DMA-BUF and zero-copy architectures (preferred).

• Background in the automotive or infotainment industry (preferred).

• Experience with Qualcomm platforms (preferred).

• Knowledge of H.264 and HEVC codec internals (preferred).

• Familiarity with using AI tools in daily workflow (preferred).
