Senior C++ Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Development of a middleware layer in C++ for an advanced machine management system.

• Standardization and aggregation of data from devices provided by multiple independent suppliers.

• Design of a maintainable architecture based on a common core and interchangeable plugins.

• Collaboration with the team in making architectural decisions.

• Enhancement of modern products and scaling of teams for Code & Pepper clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Commercial experience at a senior level in programming with C++.

• Proficient understanding of modern language standards (at least C++14/C++17).

• Practical experience in developing embedded software, close to the hardware layer.

• Expertise in configuring and performing cross-compilation for ARM architecture.

• Independence in managing development toolchains.

• Strong skills in designing hardware abstraction layers (HAL) and clean API interfaces.

• Experience in software architecture, particularly with the Adapter pattern and plugin architecture.

• Deep understanding of engineering practices (Clean Code, SOLID) focused on long-term code maintainability.

• Highly developed communication skills facilitating effective architectural decision-making within the team.

• Proficiency in English to enable smooth communication in an international team.

• Familiarity with the hardware specifics of the gaming industry and protocols such as SAS or G2S (GSA) — nice to have.

• Experience working with Embedded Linux systems or real-time operating systems (RTOS) — nice to have.

• Practical knowledge of the CMake build system, unit testing, and CI/CD tools — nice to have.

• Ability to perform low-level code debugging using JTAG or logic analyzers — nice to have.
