This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Facilitates collaboration between business and IT stakeholders to convert intricate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional technical specifications, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and solution design.
• Collects and verifies business/technology requirements to define the scope and boundaries of requirements and establish project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
• Evaluates and confirms requirements for completeness, consistency, clarity, feasibility, and adherence to standards.
• Converts conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a manner that is easily understood by developers and the project team.
• Develops systems and business process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide guidance to developers and/or the project team.
• Interprets user requirements into viable options and communicates these back to business stakeholders.
• Oversees and monitors the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforces and adjusts as necessary.
• Communicates updates, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of issues and solutions.
• Organizes and coordinates user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Reviews and assesses levels of IT services as outlined in the service-level agreements (SLAs) with the business.
• Investigates, reviews, and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of current requirement gathering processes and develops strategies for improvement or further utilization of these processes; quantifies potential efficiency opportunities and tracks them accordingly.
• Maintains system protocols by drafting and updating procedures.
• Provides user references by creating and maintaining user documentation; offers help desk support; trains users.
• Compiles technical reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Engages in clarifying requirements and implementing solutions that fulfill business needs.
• Documents business requirements and potential solutions for system functionality and reporting needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to all policies and standards.
• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
• Requires 4 – 6 years of relevant experience.
• One or more of the following skills are preferred: Experience with Data Processing, Data Analysis, reporting, data extraction to flat files, and data ingestion from flat files with various delimiters using Python/SQL/Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power BI.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Teradata, and/or other RDBMS.
• Understanding of health care payer business functions and operations.
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development and the Software Development Life Cycle.
