This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the development and improvement of intricate, organization-wide business processes and initiatives.
• Acts as the project leader for Business Process Management, guiding the efforts of team members involved in the project and assigning tasks to the BPM team as necessary.
• Evaluates both new and existing processes, pinpointing and designing possible changes to processes, systems, or workflows to meet the requirements of all affected stakeholders and teams.
• Works collaboratively with all stakeholders and teams to create necessary process enhancements, supporting system functionalities, and workflows.
• Initiates the implementation of changes and tracks their status post-deployment to ensure that changes function as intended.
• Assesses the business process performance of assigned projects after implementation, such as resource utilization, workload efficiency, service standards, and business expenses, presenting findings to leaders when a process owner is unavailable.
• Illustrates connections and dependencies between processes and sub-processes across different functional areas, clearly indicating the hand-offs.
• Establishes metrics to highlight the strengths or weaknesses of current processes and provides recommendations for enhancements.
• Acts as a technical support resource to Business Process Specialists for reviewing their own departments and initiatives as needed.
• Suggests necessary changes to guide the organization in advancing the maturity of the BPM discipline from initial stages toward adherence and towards a BPM center for enablement, collaborating with people leaders on solutions.
• Partners with people leaders to shape the BPM department's vision and roadmap, including building and managing the product backlog, and developing a prioritization strategy that maximizes delivered value.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance, business, logistics, process improvement, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A decade of experience in insurance business analysis, process or project management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Business Process Management certification.
• Advanced BPM certification is preferred (e.g., CBPP, OCEB, Six Sigma Blackbelt, Lean).
• Experience with generative AI and its applications in BPM is preferred.
• Background in Business Architecture is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BPM methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean, with experience in large-scale implementation.
• Proficient in BPM notations, capable of designing detailed and complex BPMN diagrams and extensive cross-functional process modeling.
• Strong knowledge of various BPM tools, including automation and AI-enhanced BPM platforms for thorough process management.
• Proficient in workflow modeling, design, and analysis.
• In-depth understanding of property and casualty insurance coverage options, terminology, and trends.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
• Strong capability to cultivate effective working relationships to achieve common objectives.
• Keen attention to detail, along with organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proven ability to advise, collaborate, influence, and effectively consult with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, executives, and project owners.
• Strong ability to identify opportunities for automation, including familiarity with the full cycle of automated process discovery and process automation.
