Senior Business Intelligence, SQL, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop enterprise-level data solutions that cater to various reporting and analytics needs across multiple business units.

• Create and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from diverse sources, execute complex transformations, and load data into target systems.

• Construct and maintain data models and dimensional schemas tailored for reporting and analytical queries.

• Develop advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that provide insights to executive leadership and operational teams.

• Establish and uphold data quality standards, validation rules, and data governance practices throughout all data pipelines.

• Configure scheduling, monitoring, alerting, and error handling mechanisms to guarantee pipeline reliability and timely data access.

• Analyze and optimize ETL processes, database queries, and Power BI models to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document technical specifications, and offer technical guidance on data architecture decisions.

• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues, implementing sustainable solutions and documenting lessons learned.

• Keep up with emerging data technologies and best practices, suggesting enhancements to the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, encompassing dashboard design, data modeling, DAX, and report optimization.

• Extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines within enterprise settings.

• Expert-level SQL skills with a thorough understanding of relational and cloud databases; capable of writing optimized queries and designing efficient data structures.

• Familiarity with modern data platforms and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

• Strong grasp of data architecture principles, including data modeling, data governance, metadata management, and dimensional modeling.

• Expertise in pipeline orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, alerting, error handling, and retry logic.

• Proficient in data transformation techniques, data validation, testing strategies, and ensuring data quality.

• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the capacity to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferably, experience in integrating data from various sources, including databases, APIs, cloud storage, flat files, web services, and enterprise applications.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with architects, database engineers, QA teams, and business analysts.
