This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and oversee Tableau dashboards tailored for Public Sector clients.
• Evaluate business needs and produce technical specifications for BI systems.
• Design, implement, maintain, and support BI solutions that integrate databases, data warehouses/marts, and IDM.
• Create dashboards and visualizations utilizing healthcare customer data.
• Analyze data, processes, and systems to uncover opportunities for process and performance enhancements.
• Collaborate with BI architects to gather and document BI system requirements.
• Convert business needs into specifications for data objects and frameworks.
• Extract, transform, and load data into BI applications.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot BI applications and ad-hoc reports.
• Create front-end reporting applications using Tableau and Cognos.
• Employ scripting languages to address complex business needs.
• Ensure data availability and optimize performance in enterprise data and BI environments.
• Address data and reporting challenges for business partners.
• Assist architects in client presentations and demonstrations.
• Work collaboratively with developers on standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation of scalable, efficient, and maintainable reporting solutions.
• Guide junior staff on standards and best practices.
• Engage in requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, training, implementation, and support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner with associates to clarify business needs and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with teams and departments to develop and modify reporting applications.
• Provide data and programming expertise for internal ad-hoc data requests.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 5 to 7 years of expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) analysis and development.
• Proficiency in developing BI solutions with QlikView/Sense or comparable technologies.
• Familiarity with data warehouse environments, dimensions/hierarchies, Star Schema/Snowflake modeling, as well as Fact and Dimension tables and intricate Qlik data models.
• Strong understanding of Qlik Sense set analysis, set expressions, and data load scripts.
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, VB, and JSON.
• Experience in developing Qlik Sense extensions, including JavaScript and D3.
• Background in optimizing data loads and QlikView/Sense applications for enhanced performance.
• Proficiency in mashups and deploying Qlik applications on custom portals.
• Familiarity with Qlik in-memory data discovery architecture and Qlik best practices.
• Experience with QlikView Publisher functionalities.
• Extensive SQL RDBMS experience, particularly with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with data warehouse and Hadoop/Big Data systems and their performance tuning.
• Significant experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, or SnapLogic.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
