This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and manage dbt models that encapsulate business logic, metric definitions, and dimensional structures.
• Ensure uniform metric definitions throughout the semantic layer.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Data to transform definition alignment into tangible dbt model implementations.
• Document data models for analysts and business stakeholders.
• Oversee the AnswersNow QuickSight environment, which includes data source connections, SPICE datasets, refresh schedules, access controls, and performance optimization.
• Design the QuickSight layer to facilitate the construction of the five-domain dashboard.
• Direct the technical implementation of the Mode-to-QuickSight migration.
• Configure and utilize QuickSight AI features, such as QuickSight Q and AI-assisted narratives.
• Maintain data quality and model precision for the in-house analytics agent.
• Develop validation checks, data quality assessments, and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with Data Science on BI integration with AI inference pipelines.
• Create and manage outcomes reporting packages for external payor audiences.
• Ensure accuracy standards are met for payor-facing reports.
• Define metrics and formats in conjunction with clinical and business stakeholders.
• Assess LLM-assisted BI tools and AI-native methodologies.
• Design datasets and models that are suitable for both human and AI-agent queries.
• Enhance the team’s understanding of AI-accelerated BI delivery.
• Over 4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI architecture.
• Extensive SQL expertise, including complex queries and data modeling.
• Strong background in dbt, encompassing model building, test writing, DAG management, and dimensional/fact modeling.
• Practical experience with Amazon QuickSight, or extensive experience with a similar BI platform and a quick learning ability for new tools.
• A data modeling approach centered on report flexibility and reliability.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted BI tools, AI-native data products, or QuickSight AI features.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating data model choices to non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to collaborate closely with business stakeholders to grasp domain context.
• Experience with clinical data, healthcare outcomes metrics, or payor reporting is a plus.
• Knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector databases, or AI inference infrastructure is a plus.
• Experience in HIPAA or SOC 2 environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with migrating BI platforms like Mode, Looker, or Tableau is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
