This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the efficient intake of documents: i.e., assess the validity of documents and thoroughly analyze immigration status based on the provided materials.
• Take responsibility for the extensive drafting of case documents, statutory forms, and standardized letters of support, along with a variety of NIVs for key accounts/clients.
• Timely identify and report any potential or foreseeable case-related issues to the Attorney and/or Senior Case Manager.
• Quickly draft responses to requests for evidence.
• Utilize the online immigration case tracking system to monitor case statuses and activities on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with Client Support Specialists for the printing, scanning, and posting of cases and service requests.
• Address client communication requests, either through direct client interaction or directly with the foreign national.
• Prioritize daily tasks based on varying client deadlines, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Propose any process improvement ideas to the relevant attorney/Case Manager.
• Provide assistance to team members with case or document preparation as needed.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere, particularly in a remote working environment.
• 3-4 years of comprehensive experience as an Immigration Paralegal, particularly in drafting intricate matters.
• A completed bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for U.S. immigration, coupled with a commitment to treating clients and foreign nationals with respect and empathy.
• Confidence in independently managing a variety of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1, and familiarity with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS) and complete PERM applications preferred.
• Experience in managing a high volume of active and inactive cases simultaneously.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including proficiency in spelling and grammar.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy in work.
• Experience in direct communication with HR staff and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements, particularly with key accounts/clients.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively prioritize the caseload.
• Proficient computer skills, with the capability to adapt to advanced Envoy case processing software for monitoring and recording all visa petitions.
