This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Provide support to the onshore paralegal team throughout all stages of commercial litigation, from pre-suit to trial and appeal.
• Draft, format, proofread, and finalize various legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and stipulations.
• Prepare and organize exhibits, binders, and supporting materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Monitor case deadlines and docketing to ensure timely filing and response dates are met.
• Assist the commercial collections department in handling a substantial portfolio of collection matters.
• Draft and prepare pleadings related to collections, including complaints, motions for default judgment, writs of garnishment, and writs of execution.
• Track the progress of active collection cases from filing to judgment and post-judgment enforcement.
• Prepare and process correspondence directed to debtors, opposing parties, and courts.
• Assist with the organization and preparation of documentation related to accounts receivable, judgments, and payment records.
• Coordinate with clients and internal team members regarding updates on collection status and case activities.
• Maintain precise and current case files and records across all assigned matters.
• Track court deadlines, statute of limitations, hearing dates, and response deadlines using the firm's docketing and case management systems.
• Notify the supervising attorney and onshore paralegal team of impending deadlines with adequate lead time.
• Organize and maintain digital case files in a consistent and easily retrievable format.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of discovery materials, including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and responses.
• Review and organize document productions and assist in preparing privilege logs.
• Collaborate with e-discovery vendors or internal teams for document review and production as necessary.
• Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and witness outlines as needed.
• Offer dependable and organized assistance to the onshore paralegal and attorney teams to alleviate administrative burdens and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Manage client communication and correspondence as directed, within established parameters.
• Assist with the intake of new matters, including file openings, conflict checks, and initial documentation.
• Perform additional paralegal and legal administrative tasks as assigned by supervising attorneys or the onshore paralegal team.
• A minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience in a litigation environment — experience in commercial litigation or collections is highly preferred.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
• Familiarity with commercial collections processes, including post-judgment enforcement, is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional written communication skills — ensuring your documents are accurate, well-organized, and require minimal revisions.
• Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills — capable of managing deadline-driven tasks across multiple matters without errors.
