This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a detailed business development strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives.
• Influence and define requirements early in the acquisition process.
• Oversee the entire business development lifecycle, which includes identifying opportunities, developing capture strategies, supporting proposals, and managing contract transitions.
• Build and nurture relationships with Department of Defense (DoD) and government decision-makers, industry partners, and integrators.
• Work in collaboration with internal departments and leadership teams to ensure client success.
• Provide weekly updates and reports on progress.
• Enhance business development processes, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM), formal capture, and proposal workflows.
• Identify, forecast, and secure new opportunities while sustaining customer relationships.
• Detect strategic market inflection points for both core and innovative initiatives.
• Create and present strategic and business growth opportunities, incorporating market and competitive analyses.
• Daily monitor of government portals, notices, and postings for strategic and tactical opportunities.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience within the Federal IT sector.
• Proven capability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• Established relationships in the Federal IT industry and the ability to translate OSC capabilities into growth opportunities.
• Experience in capture planning and execution support.
• Strong connections within target accounts.
• A track record of successfully securing both small- and large-scale DoD contracts, preferably within information technology.
• In-depth understanding of Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes and contracting vehicles such as Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to assist in business case development and opportunity shaping.
• Previous experience in relationship building with federal acquisition offices.
• Familiarity with collaboration alongside subcontractors and prime Federal Contractors.
• Capacity to multitask and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Proven strategic approaches to market entry.
• Ability to make informed judgments and decisions.
• Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to detail while maintaining high efficiency.
• Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 25%.
• Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
• An active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one may be required depending on the role.
