This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.
• Proactively seek out potential merchants and introducers while promoting Trust Payments' products and services.
• Identify challenges faced by merchants and partners, providing appropriate and profitable solutions.
• Leverage industry networks within travel, hospitality, ticketing, short-term rentals, and financial services to create qualified opportunities.
• Navigate regulatory requirements to effectively position Trust Payments' solutions.
• Develop specialized knowledge in verticals and stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
• Evaluate opportunities based on profitability potential, risk profile, and strategic alignment.
• Construct business cases and ROI models for prospective clients.
• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with assistance from the Line Manager and Department Director.
• Oversee customer onboarding and initial aftercare until the transition to an Account Manager.
• Work collaboratively with product, project management, and marketing teams on value propositions.
• Maintain CRM updates for accurate reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Represent the company at trade events as needed.
• At least 3 years of B2B sales experience in payments, financial services, or fintech, with a proven record of self-generated new business.
• Direct sales experience with clients in travel, hospitality, or ticketing, including demonstrated existing relationships and market insight.
• Proven ability to meet or surpass revenue targets through a self-generated sales pipeline.
• Solid understanding of payment processing, merchant services, and acquiring in regulated environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the capability to structure profitable and competitive deals.
• Expertise in consultative selling, focused on addressing merchant pain points and positioning solutions effectively.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and negotiating terms.
• Proficient in using CRM systems; Salesforce is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel across EU markets and participate in industry events.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills are valued/preferred.
• Experience with PSP, gateway, or acquiring solutions is desirable.
• Knowledge of alternative payment methods, crypto payments, or open banking is advantageous.
• Understanding of risk management and fraud prevention in high-risk sectors is a plus.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications are preferred.
• Successful completion of a background verification check is required as a condition of employment.
