This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Accountable for driving the growth, protection, and enhancement of Transportation-oriented products and solutions within designated customer accounts.
• Discover and generate new design and sales prospects.
• Safeguard current business while increasing content and share of wallet among targeted clients.
• Work in conjunction with branch teams, Transportation suppliers, and internal resources.
• Serve as a resource and provide technical sales assistance for all Field Sales, General Managers, and Segment clients.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with branch sales leadership and management teams.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new Transportation business opportunities.
• Organize and deliver training programs within the territory to inform internal teams about Transportation technologies.
• Engage in Quarterly business reviews and regular internal management meetings.
• Lead and manage regular branch opportunity reviews.
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or Distribution is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in or with the Transportation customer market is preferred.
• Understanding of sales, purchasing, operations, systems, vendors, products, and branch operations is essential.
• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, articles, and presentations.
• Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting business journals, technical procedures, government regulations, customer drawings, and technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel between 50% to 70% is required, including international travel.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be insurable by the company's liability carrier.
