Senior Business Development Manager, Territory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Formulates and implements a sales strategy aimed at achieving sales objectives and activities within the designated territory.

• Concentrates on cultivating business relationships with designated customer accounts, manufacturers, and contractual partners.

• Creates sales and account management tactics that will drive sales growth in a specified territory.

• Establishes robust relationships with inside account managers through regular collaboration to devise strategies for existing accounts and engage them in new business opportunities.

• Collaborates with internal departments, including marketing and product development, to ensure that the company's offerings align with the needs of clients within the territory.

• Sustains and strengthens relationships with current customers and prospects through presentations that highlight Connection’s National Solution Provider (NSP) capabilities and its value proposition as a comprehensive solutions and services provider.

• Prepares proposals and presentations for customer meetings, executing those scheduled meetings to uncover new opportunities while nurturing long-term relationships.

• Demonstrates a strong capability to use the MS Office suite to create tailored documents and presentations for clients.

• Assists with bid responses and participates in trade shows.

• Conducts market analysis to identify new potential clients and growth opportunities within the territory.

• Collaborates closely with business partners (e.g., manufacturer field representatives) to penetrate accounts and secure business.

• Engages in face-to-face meetings and/or regular calls with vendor/manufacturer representatives for strategic account planning.

• Places emphasis on meetings with top-tier vendors.

• Negotiates contracts and finalizes deals with clients within the territory.

• Completes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly administrative tasks, including travel logistics and timely expense reporting.

• Prepares quarterly and/or regular business reviews and customized presentations for customers.

• Participates in bi-monthly mandatory team and vendor calls.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 4-7 years of experience in sales, business development, or technology solutions.

• Proven track record of selling and building relationships with education and/or state and local government clients.

• Technical proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the capability to create documents or basic spreadsheets.

• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure optimal purchasing agreements for both customers and the company.

• Solid understanding and working knowledge of the value-added technology industry.

• In-depth knowledge of market and industry trends within the territory.

• Strong sales abilities with the capacity to build relationships with key stakeholders and achieve sales targets.

• Customer-focused with the ability to listen to and anticipate customer needs.

• Excellent written communication skills, capable of crafting professional business correspondence via email, letters, and proposals.

• Outstanding verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver professional presentations.

• Articulate, with the ability to convey thoughts clearly and professionally in both written and spoken communication.

• Good listening skills, able to fully receive information and comprehend what is being communicated.

• Quick learner, capable of mastering situations or acquiring new knowledge with minimal guidance or training.

• Organized mindset with the ability to document activities, foresee problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance based on priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to work independently to meet revenue objectives.
