
Senior Business Development Manager – Insurance, Strategic Response Channels

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate relationships with carriers, TPAs, vendor managers, claims managers, adjusters, independent adjusters, brokers, risk managers, restorers, and property owners in key markets.
• Seek out opportunities for qualified vendor panels; oversee MSAs, NDAs, service requirements, and pricing expectations.
• Generate continuous opportunities arising from commercial property losses, structural fires, water damage, mold, asbestos / HBM, industrial hygiene, indoor environmental quality, and technically sensitive claims needs.
• Establish field-level connections through meetings, team huddles, continuing education / training activities, participation in claims associations, conferences, and follow-up that adds value.
• Focus on projects that align with FACS capabilities, capacity, geographic reach, margin expectations, and risk appetite; steer clear of low-margin nuisance claims and unsupported service commitments.
• Collaborate with Practice Leads, technical subject matter experts, Operations, Marketing, Benchmark, FIRM, National Response, and leadership to ensure that commitments are both technically sound and operationally viable.
• Assist in pre-event carrier planning, development of response playbooks, service menus, escalation pathways, and post-loss communication strategies for larger loss or catastrophe opportunities.
• Keep meticulous CRM records for carriers, contacts, adjusters, panels, opportunities, assignments, source attribution, next steps, and field-level market intelligence.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in B2B business development, consultative sales, account management, or client relations with a focus on measurable revenue outcomes.
• Strong preference for experience in insurance, claims, restoration, forensic consulting, property loss, environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, environmental health and safety, hazardous building materials, mold/moisture, fire/smoke, or related technical services.
• Proven understanding of carriers, TPAs, vendor panels, adjusters, claims managers, commercial property teams, restoration companies, brokers, or risk managers.
• Capability to articulate the business value of technical services to insurance buyers, emphasizing speed, reduction of cycle times, cost management, risk mitigation, defensible documentation, and claim resolution.
• Excellent relationship-building abilities, executive presence, determination at field level, strong written and verbal communication skills, sound business judgment, and discipline in using CRM systems.
• Willingness and capability to travel for carrier meetings, claims association events, conferences, engagement with restoration partners, and market development activities.
