This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Generate immediate momentum by utilizing your network to initiate the first freight within 30 days through proactive prospecting—making over 100 outbound calls daily to build a robust pipeline of shipper and carrier relationships.
• Acquire, onboard, and maintain 2 to 6 new shippers each month while enhancing existing accounts through proactive relationship management, exploring new freight lanes, and identifying cross-sell opportunities to increase revenue per customer.
• Efficiently scale accounts to handle 100 to 150 loads monthly, optimizing carrier capacity utilization and aligning load volume with the organization's growth objectives.
• Develop and implement focused freight brokerage strategies based on real-time freight market dynamics, carrier capacity trends, and local shipper demand patterns.
• Construct compelling rate proposals and freight solutions that highlight value and competitive advantages to prospective clients, securing favorable terms that protect profit margins.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and compliance teams to ensure flawless load execution, timely delivery, and outstanding service quality that enhances customer retention and competitive edge.
• Negotiate freight rates, service level agreements, and carrier contracts with skill and transparency, maintaining strong partnerships while safeguarding profitability.
• Track and assess key performance indicators such as load volume, freight margins, customer acquisition costs, and revenue outcomes to promote continuous improvement and accountability.
• Over 5 years of direct freight brokerage experience with a proven track record in sourcing, qualifying, and securing shipper and carrier partnerships.
• Proven success in adding 2-6 new shipper accounts monthly and managing 100-150+ loads monthly with documented revenue growth.
• Proficient in freight rate negotiation, load pricing, margin management, and carrier contract development.
• Strong understanding of freight market dynamics, carrier capacity trends, lane economics, and regional shipper demand patterns.
• Skilled in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), load boards, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting freight metrics, load profitability, and customer acquisition costs.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating freight solutions to a diverse range of prospects.
• Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of independently generating measurable freight revenue results.
• Experience in team leadership, mentoring, carrier recruitment, or capacity management within freight brokerage is preferred.
• Knowledge of freight compliance requirements, DOT regulations, industry best practices, and specialized freight verticals is preferred.
