This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the US events, venues, sports, hospitality, and entertainment industries.
• Establish relationships with key decision-makers, including venue operators, event owners, hospitality groups, promoters, concessionaires, sports organizations, and strategic partners.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting and conversations to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
• Develop a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within key sectors and regions.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, commercial drivers, purchasing processes, and decision-making frameworks.
• Assist Boxbar in identifying the most effective routes to market in the US.
• Conduct research and map target accounts across venues, arenas, stadiums, festivals, live events, hospitality groups, and relevant partner organizations.
• Determine where Boxbar can deliver significant commercial and operational value.
• Share market insights with the leadership team to facilitate US growth strategies.
• Help refine Boxbar’s messaging for the US market, including sales materials, proposal strategies, and customer pitches.
• Create clear, compelling, and commercially viable proposals for potential customers and partners.
• Develop ROI-driven business cases that demonstrate how Boxbar enhances service speed, customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are feasible, deliverable, and commercially sound.
• Assist in contract discussions, pricing negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Maintain momentum throughout the sales process and ensure proper follow-up on opportunities.
• Keep accurate and current records in the CRM system.
• Track opportunities, next steps, stakeholders, deal values, probabilities, and expected closing dates.
• Provide clear updates regarding the pipeline, priorities, risks, and progress.
• Contribute to the creation of a more structured and repeatable sales methodology for the US market.
• Utilize data and feedback to enhance targeting, messaging, and conversion rates.
• Work closely with UK leadership, operations, finance, marketing, product, and technical teams.
• Clearly communicate customer expectations, timelines, operational needs, and commercial commitments.
• Gather feedback from customers and prospects to improve Boxbar’s offerings.
• Represent Boxbar at client meetings, trade shows, conferences, industry events, and live activations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, account executive roles, sales, or commercial positions.
• Demonstrated success in generating new business and managing a sales pipeline.
• Experience working with or selling to senior stakeholders.
• Background in at least one relevant or adjacent sector, including events, sports, venues, hospitality, entertainment, hospitality technology, venue technology, SaaS, hardware-enabled SaaS, payments, POS, concessions, experiential technology, or enterprise partnerships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience in creating proposals, commercial documents, or ROI-driven business cases.
• Confidence in managing the entire sales cycle from initial conversation to closing the deal.
• Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to follow-up.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the US for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.
• Commission structure tied to new business, qualified pipeline, signed agreements, and US market development.
