This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Identify, assess, and cultivate opportunities for comprehensive energy solutions, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, distributed generation, microgrids, and performance contracting.
• Develop and implement market and account strategies to meet annual sales and growth targets.
• Establish and nurture advisory relationships with County Judges, Commissioners Courts, City Managers, CFOs, and executive stakeholders within public sector clients.
• Lead the strategy and development of proposals, coordinating internally with engineering, finance, and development teams.
• Prepare and present customer proposals and presentations in writing.
• Represent Ameresco at high-level forums, industry conferences, and public sector events to enhance market visibility and thought leadership.
• Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in accordance with customer goals and Ameresco standards.
• Act as the primary contact for customers during the sales process and facilitate the transition to project execution teams.
• Maintain precise records of pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking within CRM systems.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in marketing construction services, consulting services, energy efficiency, or renewable technologies at the local level.
• Demonstrated experience in influencing and leading sales and project development teams in Texas.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in sustainability, engineering, economics, finance, environmental science, or business; advanced education (e.g., MS, MBA) preferred.
• Proven track record in business development, successfully cultivating, developing, and securing customers and projects in the South or Southwestern US.
• Established sales history, including contacts with executive business decision-makers, C-level sales, advanced negotiation, deal structuring, and sales contract expertise.
• Proven capability to analyze and pre-qualify customer value.
• Exceptional skills in financial planning, budgeting, organization, and resource management.
• Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, personnel, and business relationships.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by the state of residence.
