
Senior Business Development Director – Nuclear Fuel Cycle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Accountable for identifying, assessing, and securing new business opportunities while fostering relationships with potential clients and partners.
• Educates customers and partners about products and services that align with their business needs.
• Engages in strategic planning for Commercial Nuclear Services within the United States.
• Reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and aids in developing the growth strategy for designated markets.
• Directs business development initiatives for the Commercial Nuclear sector, particularly focusing on commercial nuclear fuel cycle projects.
• Secures new business within this segment to ensure the ongoing financial health of the company.
• Cultivates successful business relationships by presenting a compelling value proposition to customers and potential business partners.
• Creates, sustains, and enhances a robust professional network and customer relationships.
• Coordinates company resources to pursue and secure new work opportunities.
• Formulates capture plans for specific targets that encompass opportunities, preferred strategies, competitive analyses, and business fundamentals.
• Identifies teaming partners, formulates teaming agreements, and acquires necessary internal support and approvals.
• Collects market segment and customer intelligence.
• Engages in strategic planning alongside the leadership team.
• Oversees the content of proposals being developed.
• Manages and supports proposal efforts aimed at winning new contracts for the organization.
• Responsible for securing all necessary approvals on proposals prior to submission.
• Facilitates the delivery of proposals to customers and engages with them regarding requests and issues.
• Possesses a broad understanding of customer contracts and business planning activities.
• Leverages corporate resources to ensure proper handling of contract terms and conditions.
• Collaborates with company technical experts and Operations staff to devise solutions to customer challenges.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a pertinent scientific field is required.
• At least 15 years of experience in the commercial nuclear sector.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in roles related to nuclear fuel cycle facilities.
• Extensive experience in interfacing with executives.
• Knowledge and familiarity with the commercial nuclear purchasing process.
• Preferred experience in an on-site fuel cycle plant or customer-facing role as a vendor.
• Preferred experience related to the nuclear fuel cycle (e.g., conversion, enrichment, deconversion, fuel manufacturing).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development is preferred.
• A strong network of relationships throughout the nuclear fuel cycle industry.
• Knowledge of commercial Nuclear Fuel Cycle Operations.
• Awareness of current commercial nuclear challenges and business drivers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, both within the internal AtkinsRéalis team and in interactions with customers.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced presentation skills are necessary.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for consideration.
