Senior Business Development Director – Biotech

📋 Description

• Propel revenue expansion across strategic and intricate accounts via proactive outreach, effective networking, and precise commercial execution.

• Foster relationships with key decision-makers and create account plans that drive significant impact.

• Oversee the sales pipeline, lead client presentations, and assist in shaping pricing, proposals, MSAs, and preferred provider agreements.

• Meet annual sales objectives and sales targets for designated accounts.

• Establish, maintain, and expand client relationships.

• Generate and deliver weekly sales activity reports to management.

• Promote the business unit's capabilities and unique differentiation frameworks.

• Set and manage customer expectations effectively.

• Organize and facilitate client visits.

• Collaborate with company-wide resources to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

• Analyze industry sources to identify business opportunities and leverage Fortrea relationships for potential clients.

• Manage strategic accounts and complex sales processes.

• Develop and implement long-term account strategies.

• Coach and mentor Account Executives within your sphere of influence.

• Conduct quality control activities for peers and less experienced staff.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a life science or business field is preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of the industry.

• Proven skills in client retention.

• Ability to handle challenging client and/or financial situations.

• Strong working relationships with internal Fortrea management and site leadership.

• Capability to distinguish Fortrea from its competitors.

• Experience in developing and executing strategic business plans.

• Ability to manage and motivate client-facing teams.

• Negotiation skills: direct, face-to-face negotiation experience with major clients.

• Proven leadership experience in guiding and presenting to executives and senior levels within client organizations.

• Extensive experience in global collaboration.

• Highly consultative approach.

• Strong customer-focused orientation.

• Demonstrated ability to acquire, develop, and retain clients.

• Knowledge of the drug development process.

• Ability to influence diverse groups and individuals.

• Strong financial acumen: delivering business results in a commercial environment; budgeting.

• Significant experience in selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with direct interaction with mid-level and executive decision-makers.
