This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Actively seek and capitalize on potential new business opportunities within designated customer accounts.
• Assess and prioritize potential opportunities, crafting strategic sales plans for each target account.
• Propose suitable strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Lead the strategy and development of proposals in partnership with Business Operations to ensure client requirements are met and that resourcing/pricing is competitive to secure business and achieve margin objectives.
• Collaborate with Solutions Consultants and Finance to establish an appropriate pricing strategy.
• Train team members involved in bid pursuits on customer culture, operational requirements, and effective sales techniques to successfully close sales.
• Modify successful strategies and tactics to align with market demands and financial goals.
• Proactively maintain a territory account plan that includes strategies for market entry.
• Gain an understanding of clients’ development and commercial strategies, product portfolios, and pain points.
• Present confidence and expertise when engaging with key decision-makers.
• Engage proactively with clients across all key functions within the sponsor organization; maintain a high profile within the client organization and establish trust as an advisor.
• Develop a robust understanding of clients’ organizational structures and essential stakeholders.
• Anticipate client inquiries; identify unique client needs and become the primary contact for discussing, representing, and selling PAREXEL’s integrated solutions across all SBUs.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, inside sales, Solution Consultants, and commercial operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and high-priority opportunities.
• Actively pursue knowledge of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing, including specific rationales for awards and non-awards.
• Maintain a strong grasp of all Parexel services and value propositions to identify suitable cross-selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with Solution Consultants to pinpoint appropriate integrated solutions.
• Ensure a smooth handoff to the delivery team, coordinating with the Project Integrator Role or Project Leader to transfer insights on client needs and expectations.
• Foster close relationships with delivery teams to identify new opportunities that contribute to account growth.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within complex, dynamic teams.
• Strong awareness of the business and industry, with a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and their implications.
• Excellent consultative skills.
• Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development.
• Exceptional analytical skills for assessing and interpreting customer business data.
• Demonstrated capacity to build relationships and communicate effectively at the senior management level.
• Proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, clients, and customers.
• Capability to adhere to demanding timelines.
• Adaptability and flexibility to shifting priorities.

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time based on client needs.
• Several years of proven success in a B2B sales role within the CRO environment.
• Required experience in selling phase II/III clinical services.
