Senior Business Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery sessions with clients, actively engaging and posing insightful questions to clarify and prioritize their business objectives and goals, while identifying underlying issues.

• Perform thorough assessments of accounting processes, pinpointing areas where clients can improve efficiencies, realize cost reductions, and enhance overall effectiveness.

• Provide expert advice and actionable recommendations to refine and streamline accounting practices in alignment with their business and strategic goals.

• Ensure that the ERP system meets clients’ business needs and supports operational efficiencies by assisting in optimizing system usage and offering guidance on configurations, data management, and integration with additional tools.

• Conduct workshops for client super-users on effective configuration and use of their ERP system, addressing limitations and troubleshooting techniques to empower them to fully leverage system capabilities and manage updates.

• Oversee project plans, task timelines, resource allocation, communication and touchpoints, project upkeep (including budget comparisons, risks, and constraints), scope, and milestones.

• Convert discovery insights, client requirements, and Palmer’s customized approach into Statements of Work (SOWs) that outline client obligations, Palmer deliverables, timelines, and required resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with large-scale ERP transformations in the construction sector.

• Proficiency in construction accounting.

• Background in inventory and equipment tracking and management within the construction industry.

• Familiarity with operational processes.

• Experience in providing advisory and consulting services to clients, whether internal or external.

• Willingness to travel for client engagements, conferences, training, or other onsite requirements.
