Senior Business Analyst, SAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Convert tax and regulatory mandates from LATAM nations, including Brazil, into necessary adaptations for clients’ ERP systems.

• Serve as an SAP Subject Matter Expert on tax and regulatory developments in Brazil and LATAM.

• Organize and lead discussions aimed at resolving complex issues related to Brazil and LATAM tax and regulatory matters with clients and internal operations teams.

• Offer extensive functional and technical expertise in SAP systems across various versions.

• Guarantee complete product compliance with relevant legislation and regulations through thorough analysis of tax and legislative modifications, along with the creation of Business Analysis and Functional Specifications for specific SAP modules.

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Brazil's business processes from a complete lifecycle perspective.

• Analyze, design, and configure intricate legislative requirements, including testing updates for compliance and generating user stories for Scrum teams.

• Aid in crafting extensive test plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.

• Identify potential risks or contentious issues in deliverables and establish mitigation strategies to manage timeline or budget challenges.

• Anticipate potential issues, evaluate risks, identify root causes, and collaborate with teams to implement suitable solutions.

• Actively identify risks and issues in development deliveries and support ongoing risk management efforts.

• Assist in the complex troubleshooting of tax and regulatory client cases.

• Provide expertise in the configuration and processing of legislation from Latin America within SAP.

• Design and create business requirements, functional user stories, configuration specifications, and testing plans.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure adherence to functional designs and business specifications.

• Define test strategies, assess test plans, and execute system testing in partnership with QA teams.

• Support Development and QA Management in planning activities related to tax and regulatory updates (e.g., release planning, bundle scheduling, tracking).

• Prepare and convey release documentation, installation instructions, and client configuration guidance for internal teams and customers.

• Act as a liaison among the Global Tax and Regulatory team, Development and QA teams, and clients, ensuring accurate dissemination of legislative information for Brazil and LATAM.

• Effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients.

• Contribute to methodologies for knowledge sharing, diagnostic tools, and process enhancements to improve the client experience.

• Collaborate efficiently within a virtual team setting.

• Exhibit a commitment to excellence and maintain high-quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Brazil SAP projects as a primary focus.

• Strong understanding of Brazil's localization tax and regulatory requirements (e.g., SPED obligations, electronic invoicing (NF-e/NFS-e), ICMS/IPI/ISS compliance, ancillary obligations).

• Knowledge of Brazilian tax reform topics, including new taxes such as IBS and CBS, and awareness of forthcoming regulatory obligations.

• In-depth functional and technical comprehension of SAP systems.

• Solid understanding of Brazil's business processes from an end-to-end viewpoint. Familiarity with LATAM business processes is an advantage.

• Extensive knowledge of SAP module configuration.

• Proven experience in enterprise application projects, encompassing the full development and QA lifecycles.

• Ability to collaborate closely with the Global Tax & Regulatory teams to ensure precise knowledge transfer.
