Senior Business Analyst, Human

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape product strategy and roadmap decisions.

• Lead the gathering and analysis of requirements for significant initiatives and epics within payment, tax, and compliance sectors.

• Identify and advocate for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.

• Evaluate intricate business needs related to payment processing, tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and expansion into international markets.

• Develop thorough business requirements documents, detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and business process documentation.

• Assess and improve payment processing workflows across various providers (Stripe, PayPal) and international markets.

• Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS requirements and international payment regulations (GDPR, PSD2, etc.).

• Engage actively in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Provide mentorship to junior Business Analysts and team members on analysis techniques and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leading role.

• Strong foundational expertise in payment systems and international payment processing.

• In-depth understanding of PCI-DSS compliance requirements.

• Knowledge of international payment regulations, including GDPR, PSD2, and regional compliance standards.

• Preferred experience in fintech, financial services, e-commerce, payments, SaaS, or the banking sector (but exceptional candidates from other fields are also considered).

• Proven track record of working in Agile/Scrum environments with established practices.

• Expert proficiency in tools such as Jira, Aha!, Notion, and Asana.

• Outstanding skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and management.

• Expertise in creating process flow diagrams using BPMN or similar methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
